A story <\/span><\/h2>

Like smoke dispersing<\/span><\/p>

words distance themselves <\/span><\/p>

as you and I return to being strangers \u2013<\/span><\/p>

two characters lost in a long story, <\/span><\/p>

an endless one \u2013<\/span><\/p>

and the sad author,<\/span><\/p>

uncertain of the way<\/span><\/p>

that he should take.<\/span><\/p>

Tears <\/span><\/a><\/h2>

Dogs run after the Moon.<\/span><\/p>

Spinster cats miaow.<\/span><\/p>

In the dead of night<\/span><\/p>

poor mice hide <\/span><\/p>

in the ear of an old woman<\/span><\/p>

combing her grey hair<\/span><\/p>

that falls like snowflakes<\/span><\/p>

and melts like tears,<\/span><\/p>

while there are people <\/span><\/p>

wandering along the paths<\/span><\/p>

crushing each other\u2019s hearts<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

Absence <\/span><\/a><\/h2>

As meetings with you became rare<\/span><\/p>

I folded myself between the pages of a book<\/span><\/p>

I went on my way,<\/span><\/p>

gone and left the place<\/span><\/p>

having forgotten I was sick \u2013<\/span><\/p>

your absence pains me \u2013<\/span><\/p>

and I had forgotten <\/span><\/p>

where I left the book.<\/span><\/p>
