effortless, unscathed.<\/span><\/p>

These days are not featuring with enlightened outspoken individual faces\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

but the possibility of multi-faced masks<\/span><\/p>

dangling in the fog of loquacious<\/span><\/p>

late-night talk shows.<\/span><\/p>

Moreover, in the crude translation<\/span><\/p>

of broken hearts, within the fog of faith–the dusty speck of doubts are gradually accumulating ;<\/span><\/p>

And in commodified fog,<\/span><\/p>

scarcity itself turns luxurious,<\/span><\/p>

fed by the lush vitality of habitlessness.<\/span><\/p>

Alas, the shameless fogs<\/span><\/p>

of noticeable neglects<\/span><\/p>

stand brazenly before our eyes nowadays,<\/span><\/p>

transformed into invisible sculptures<\/span><\/p>

of historical denials.<\/span><\/p>

Even metaphors that once sheltered truth-<\/span><\/p>

now hesitate within their own<\/span><\/p>

unartistic fog;<\/span><\/p>

And again, in raw reality,<\/span><\/p>

the blushy bombastic verse\u2014\u201cthe tiger has arrived\u201d\u2014<\/span><\/p>

slips in disguise,<\/span><\/p>

suddenly entering into some fog-laden poems.<\/span><\/p>

Yet the gentle fogs of silence<\/span><\/p>

stand aligned, weightless and soundless,<\/span><\/p>

beneath the unwavering blue sky\u2014<\/span><\/p>

perhaps knowing that one day<\/span><\/p>

heaven, earth, and underworld<\/span><\/p>

Mahfuz Al-Hossain is a bilingual poet, literary critic, essayist and translator based\u00a0 on Dhaka, Bangldesh. He was born on 22nd November 1968 in Kushtia district of southwestern Bangladesh.
